Ben Heyes BA (Hons) Photography 2020
Body and Land is a project that I have been working on for two years which looks into the relationship between the human form and Mother Earth. Using a variety of technology and software’s I am able to recreate landscapes in a virtual space. Representing the two subjects like this allows the viewer to see them both for data points showing the true relationship. I have focused a lot on virtual representation to allow a larger scale of work, I have tested methods of exhibition spaces through my own virtual gallery.
I have always had an interest in landscapes and how they are formed and becoming familiar with the technology used to scan them has really allowed me to add a new perspective on my work. Allowing me to create 3D meshes of the landscapes and present them in a more modern format. Alongside the scans of the human body show similarities through representation with a variety of textures.
