Julieta Cionco BA (Hons) Photography 2020

Julieta Cionco is a documentary photographer who likes to focus mainly in themes of migration, home and place while also providing a brief insight into long standing traditions and what they mean to us. In her latest work ‘A Place to Call My Own’ she talks about her experiences and the impact of moving away from Argentina, her country of birth. She makes use of many documentary style techniques in her photographs and videos. From archives to interviews to get a deeper connection with what it means to leave everything you know behind, start anew and change your life completely. She created a short documentary movie in which she conversates with her father about all the things that have changed in their lives in the past 6 years.
