Priya Ray

Priya Ray BA (Hons) Photography 2020

Priya Ray is an interdisciplinary artist with a keen interest in telling personal narrative through her series of still life, documentary and portraiture works. Working a lot with installation Ray is drawn to the domestic space and how we as people carve out our lives out of the objects we keep, how we mould them into our spaces and how they encapsulate all sorts of memories from the past. In this project ‘Didn’t know you were a chippy Roy, sing us a song?’ Ray attempts to piece together the life of a stranger through the objects he left behind. Through the uses of photography, digital manipulation and installation Ray creates the means for this stranger to be remembered once again.
