Mischa Baker BA (Hons) Filmmaking 2020

I have been dedicated to creative Filmmaking for the past 5 years and have based my time solely on developing a body of work that explores digital and analogue formats such as 16mm film and archive video. The content of my work draws on subjects such as rave and dance culture and I develop my ideas through experimental editing, colour experimentation and layering of imagery. I am enthusiastic and passionate about producing work that generates an audience reaction through using highly visual energy within my pieces.

'Eternal Crescendo' projected onto translucent material.
Experimenting with the scale of the material and projection.
The translucent material allows audience members to become part of the piece and be a 'dancing silhouette'.
The use of translucent material was the most successful in order to facilitate my intention of audience interaction.
Chiffon fabric was the right amount of thickness for the projection to leak through to the opposite side of the screen.
I took into consideration the layering within the edit and believed it would work successfully when displayed on an external layer of material.
