Lili Cox BA (Hons) Graphic Design 2020

I am a conceptual thinker, ambitiously proactive and looking for new challenging experiences in the design world. I take an experimental and psychological approach to creative problem solving. Using a blend of digital and physical mediums. I follow a methodical and critical thinking process to create solutions. Recent projects include working on the FlipSide design team for the graphic design virtual degree show, working to produce the FlipSide Mag and student interviews. I am interested in work based on human interaction or cultural elements, ranging from editorial to motion to branding. I enjoy exploring the way graphic design can feed into multiple priniciples of design.

Our concept is to open discussions about the issues within design and create a dialogue for a more socially conscious industry. Unifying the community through encourgaing use of the connecting cycle paths leading to the ovi area. A welcoming space for businsses and families to explore and relax. The oval shapes originating from the previous shopping area The Oval, represent the rounded and diverse community.

Stories of the Undefined Feminists:
Brief to rebrand ‘Feminism’ due to the negative connotation attached to the word. My concept was to use words of real people to normalise feminism. Interviews conducted with a varied demographic. Tackling the stereotype that to be a feminist you must be and act in a certain way. Typographic posters and a publication created to celebrate these opinions.
