Alice Kell

Alice Kell BA (Hons) Illustration with Animation 2020

The foundation of my practice is built on observation and drawing. For my final year project, I made an animation about dyslexia. The aim was to empower those with this learning difference and educate those who do not understand what it means to be dyslexic.  Growing up dyslexic, I did not feel like there was enough positive, accessible content for young people. I hope it speaks to those with learning differences and encourages them to pursue things they might not think were possible. My animation has subsequently been featured on dyslexia awareness websites and social media accounts, I hope it will reach many more. I will continue this area of work at the Royal College of Art, where I will be studying Visual Communication from September.
