Wellington Mill is a home to a variety of artistic creators, and mice. Although the visitors of the Mill were always disgusted by them, we worked and created alongside the mice and it became the norm to the long term renters. Quarantine has caused the Mill to be temporarily unoccupied, giving the mice freedom of the Mill with no one to disturb them, taking back the home that was originally theirs. My current work has been inspired by the mice and changing people's opinions so they start to accept them.
Using the form of a mouse as a canvas, I have enjoyed experimenting with beading and embroidery. The mice are created as gifts, made to suit the taste of the friend they are gifted to. The mice are made to provide comfort and protection in this challenging time.
