Elena Jamison BA (Hons) Textiles in Practice 2020
Elena Jamison is a print student who finds inspiration in her surroundings, mainly the outdoors. By looking at the shapes in nature and buildings she plays with colour, sale and shape in order to create digital compositions. The projects shown show both her style of work, one being more abstract, this project was inspired by animal bones found in museums which inspired a collection made for wall hangings. Elena’s other approach to working is a more illustrative style inspired by the landscapes around different places, she alters colours and details in order to create a more surreal effect. Drawing by hand or creating collages and using Photoshop and Illustrator is how Elena responds to her inspiration and creates a versatile range of prints.
