This project was based upon the book ‘Icelandic Folktales and Legends’ by Jacqueline Simpson. In the sketchbook, you can see my investigations with the tales and small experiments as to how I could include pattern and textures whilst creating a storybook. This project attempts to merge both tale and illustrations, whilst marrying both the fantasy and the modern world.
